My baby is no where near a baby anymore! He is still in Phoenix with his PawPaw Steven and Uncle Eric. I miss him sooo much.

Aquarium in New Orleans

Thanks to Caden's Aunt Virgie I have pics to share of Caden his first day in New Orleans! These are his two younger cousins Preston and Payton. (Aren't they dolls?) Caden looks like Shrek next to them he is such a big boy!!

My last day with my manski

For Caden's last day with me for 7 weeks we went to the Country Bucket aka Cracker Barrell. I'm missing him to death already. I really don't have anything to do with myself when he's gone. I can't wait to be with him again!!

I dream of Caden...

My manski fresh out of the shower! His hair is so long and drippy that I put a towel on it. He told me last night he is scared his Nana & Papaw are going to make him cut it! He is sooo cute. He is getting ready to be with his dad for about 7 weeks. I am miserable!!! I miss him already.

Kings Island Part 2

Kings Island

For Caden's last weekend in Ky I wanted to do something special. So my mom and I took him to Kings Island. We all had the best day. The last picture is Caden and I on the Congo Express. (If you look really close you can see my bright pink shirt towards the back of the boat almost in the center.) We got soaked! Caden was only interested in water rides but I told him we would do those last because I couldn't walk around all day wet. I don't think thrill rides are his thing. Maybe when he gets a little older we can try an amusement park again. More pictures to come!

Country Bucket

I for the life of me couldn't think of Cracker Barrel and some how I managed to call it Country Bucket and 8 years later that is still what my mom and I call it.

Caden loves breakfast. Saturday morning I just had no desire to cook at all. So we headed over to the Country Bucket. :) We of course were in there for almost 3 hours eating and browsing all the toys. My kid definitely did not get his shopping genes from me!! I hate to shop!!

Chuck Norris Rules

Last night while I was putting Caden to bed he looked lost in thought. So I asked him "what are you thinking about angelface?" I was not prepared for his response. He said "Chuck Norris". I am still laughing at this.

Caden absolutely loved Dracula!!!

The school district I work for has an excellent drama program. For the end of the year they decided to do Dracula. Caden has been fascinated by vampires for a while now. Year before last he dressed up at Dracula.
I wouldn't dare let him watch Trueblood but I do let him read and watch the Twilight series. The play was excellent! Caden loved every second of it!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Caden took me on a date for Mother's Day. We went and saw Rio then went to Fazoli's for dinner afterwards. On the way home we stopped at Redbox and got Jackie Chan's Master of Kung Fu. It was a great night!! He presented me with a card and coupons for hugs, kisses, bathroom cleaning, massage and a load of dish washing!!! I am the luckiest mom in the world or what?!? That kid already knows how to please!!

Caden and I were dancing and I dipped him and my mom snapped a picture. The silliness doesn't stop at my house!!

Freeze Sucka!!!

Saturday was my Aunt Pearl's birthday. We don't get to chat regularly because our schedules are so different. Saturday I was fortunate enough to get to talk to her for a while. Well all mothers know there is a time limit for phone conversations. I really don't talk on the phone much so I hadn't given it much thought. About an hour and 20 into our convo I notice that Caden is stock piling something in my bedroom. I walk in to find him pointing his rifle (play gun) at me and all these swords and other guns on the bed waiting for combat! Needless to say I had to end my phone convo and give my baby some attention! An hour and 20 is a lot longer than most mothers get so I'm not going to complain!!!

KidTucky Derby

Every year there is a Derby at Caden's school. They are encouraged to dress up and look nice. I bought Caden a suit when my grandmother passed away. He has worn it a few times since. He loves dressing up and looking nice. He wanted his hair to look like James Bond so I did my best!. His hair is so thick and long it's hard to make it do anything! He is just amazing and beautiful!

He's not pretty he's handsome!!

I realize I am bias but I think my son is the most beautiful human being I have ever laid eyes on. I really just stare at him some times and admire him. I occasionally forget and call him pretty. He really hates it. He says he's handsome not pretty. I tried to explain to him that he is more than just handsome. He thinks pretty is just a word used for girls.
He feel asleep last night watching the A-Team for the bizillionth time! I was just admiring him and decided to take a picture to share. This is as peaceful as he gets!!!
He is getting so big and turning into such a little man. My cuddle time lessens each passing week. And we are way out of the stage of kissing his mommy in front of his friends. I have been fortunate enough to enjoy all these phases with him. One day he will be gone and I will be lucky to even get a phone call now and again. Where I used to be the coolest mom ever now I've been shunned to be an embarrassment in his eyes. He used to pull me along to meet all his friends. Now he gives me a look that says please don't speak to them. It's funny how your whole life your parents tell you that you won't understand love until you have children and you just roll your eyes because until you become a mother you really have no idea what your purpose in life was before that. I swore before I had children that I would never be one of those moms to eat soggy cookies etc. And I couldn't tell you how many half soggy and drooled on things I still pop in my mouth without a second thought.
I am truely blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life. His laugh is still by far the most favorite sound I have ever heard.

Weekends at Mim's

My mom lives out in the country and has a creek that runs behind her house. Caden absolutely loves anything having to do with water. We may not have much but we are blessed!!!

As many of you know for Christmas I got Caden an I-touch. There are so many different apps. I found one the other day I was sure Caden would enjoy immensely and I was right. We have giggled and had the best time making our friends and family members chunky!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

We did 2 different types of eggs. Tye-Dyed Sparkle and then just colored. My hands are still pink, blue, and yellow!! The blue egg on the left was Caden's egg to me and the one on the right was my egg to him. He called these his fashion show winning eggs!! He is sooo cute. I love that lil man soo much it's almost an obsession!!

Getting your Froggy on!

My Aunt Pearl has loved frogs for as long as I can remember. She came to visit a few weeks ago and gave Caden a bunch of frogs. He came home and immediately set all his gifts up around his room. I know when I was a child I thought my Aunt Pearl hung the moon so of course Caden feels the same.
